Digested Organics installed one of two advanced filtration systems this month at Wilderness Trail Distillery in Kentucky. The stainless steel ultrafiltration (UF) system arrived on a flatbed truck and was craned into position on the concrete pad, supported by a steel structure. Process piping, sensor cables and airlines, and electrical wiring are completed and the system will be operational shortly. Filtrate from the UF system will be purified by the Two-Step Reverse Osmosis (TSRO) System, which utilizes a proprietary Forward Osmosis membrane to concentrate dissolved solids and reclaim clean, reusable water. The TSRO is scheduled to arrive onsite in the next two weeks and the complete integrated system is expected to be operational by the end of August. The distillery will then be able to provide nearby farmers with a concentrated animal feed at a greatly reduced daily volume, as well as reclaim clean water for reuse.
